HelloI’m Josie Cross—the author and artist behind Cross & Bloom.My creative journey began as a way to cope during a season of illness, family struggles, and the uncertainty of Covid. In those quiet moments, I found myself sketching whimsical animals and characters, pairing them with poems and short stories as a form of stress relief.What started as simple doodles and journal entries became something more—a way to work through fear, worry, and anxiety with creativity and faith.Over time, I discovered that my doodles didn’t just help me heal—they also began to shape my fiction.Sometimes, a character starts on the page as a sketch before they ever find their voice in one of my stories.
